    Product Description

    4491-ADJ Primed With Special Species Trim Adjustable Plain Box Newel posts are designed to work as a starting, landing or intermediate newel and pairs well with the 4075, 4091, 4092 and 4375 box newel posts.  Hardwood wall is 3/4 inch and the main shank is 3-1/2 inches; 55 inches tall with attached pedestal (sleeve) which is 23" tall and a footprint of 5" x 5".  Custom sizes are available on a per job quote.  Primed newels are poplar.

    The 4491 Adjustable Box Newels are made from solid S4S hardwood blanks.  Newel is primed with stain grade (select wood species) trim and cap/hat.  Sleeve/pedestal is shipped loose (separate) from main shank of newel. 

    Item generally ships in about two to three weeks, FOB Ohio. When selecting the half-saw option, for solid newels, both halves will ship.

SHIPPING Stair Part orders are shipped to the customer from the manufacturer's warehouse or the manufacturer of a specific style. Please note that Westfire is not responsible for delayed, lost or damaged freight. CLAIMS Claims for shortages, breakage or damage must be made directly with the transportation company. Claims for shortages must be made within one (1) day after shipment received. Customer must count boxes, approve and sign receiver from transportation company. Customer is responsible to verify shipment quantity. RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS Special orders or nonstandard products are not subject to return or cancellation if special raw material purchase and/or production has been initiated. All returns of non-defective goods must be in new resale able condition, shipped prepaid, and are subject to a 25% handling and restocking charge. Any parts having been altered or otherwise modified may not be returned. Returns are limited to stock purchased within the last 30 calendar day (No exceptions).
