This is the larger Hampton Series newel post that works best with the 2-5/8" handrails.
Shipped One to a Box.
Recommended balusters: 5200, 5300, 5105, 5005, 5205. Works well with any handrail profile.
Stocked in Red Oak, Poplar, Cherry and Soft Maple. All other wood species are non-stocked and made to order. Non-stocked items typically ship in 8 to 10 business days, FOB Ohio. Please note that non-stocked items cannot be returned.

Great product, handling is critical
I've now received six red oak newels in this product family. Great, solid construction. I've had two of the six, however, that I've received with edge dings that are apparently a function of warehouse handling (dings in interior box, not exterior shipping box) that transferred to dings in the product edges. I returned one for replacement. I made them aware of process quality issue and they have vowed to fix process.

excellent product
I ordered both this and the 4500LT. The long turnings are a nice statement for the starting newel. Workmanship is good, shipping excellent protection.
