The bottom features a 3/4" dowel, while the top tapers to a 5/8" pin, providing a structural rise to the baluster.

The 5315 baluster comes in a variety of wood species, with Red Oak and Poplar being in stock for immediate shipment. Other woods like beech, hickory, ash, hard maple, white oak, American cherry, yellow pine, Brazilian cherry, mahogany, and walnut can be ordered with a lead time of 2 to 4 weeks. There's also an option for primed or pre-finished white, where the latter uses a Sherwin-Williams bright white product in a semi-gloss finish.
